Lace Up for Kids 5k, 10 Mile, and Bake Sale
The Kiwanis Club of Sioux Falls presents an annual fundraiser named Lace Up for Kids with race distance options and a bake sale to support children and youth in Sioux Falls. The event takes place on April 10 at Cherry Rock Park in Sioux Falls, SD 57103. Organizers are not providing event apparel or other swag in order to keep costs low and direct more funds to local youth programs. Registration fees listed are $25 for the 5K and $35 for the 10 mile race, while the bake sale operates on a free will donation basis.

The course is a flat and fast out and back along the bike path beginning and ending at Cherry Rock Park. Awards will be given to the first, second, and third place finishers in men and women categories for both races. All funds raised from the race and bake sale remain in the local community. Supported organizations include Adopt A Family, CASA, Compassion Child Care, Family Connection Children’s Connection, Family Visitation Center, Feeding South Dakota, Kids Against Hunger, Leif Ericson Camp, McCrossan Boys Ranch FCA, Sioux Falls Humane Society, Teddy Bear Den, The Banquet Project SOS, The Salvation Army Angel Tree, and the Toy Lending Library.
