Event

TutHell 50K is held in Sioux Falls, SD at 3500 S Cliff Ave. The event uses an essay-only entry process: applicants submit an essay between December 1, 2025 and April 22, 2026; selected entrants receive an invitation to register. The listed registration deadline is Monday, April 27, 2026 at 11:59 PM CT. The race name is TutHell 50K.

Format and logistics

The course consists of a repeated short loop. Entrants will run a 0.31-mile loop up and down Tut Hill one hundred times. Each loop has roughly 90 feet of elevation gain and 90 feet of elevation loss. The start area is by a large tree near the bathrooms at the top of the hill; the route follows single track down to the flat grassy area, returns up the right side of the hill to two small trees, then back to the start. The route will be well marked. Trekking poles are allowed. Teams are not permitted.

There will be a fully stocked aid station at the top of the hill by the bathrooms/storm shelter. Runners are asked to bring one support person; support people have access to snacks. Official race chip timing and live tracking are provided through UltraSignup. Entrants are asked to remain until the last runner has either dropped out or missed the 10 hour 7 minute cutoff. Donations pledged by entrants will be pooled in a charitable fund with a 2026 goal of $10,000. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
