TutHell 50K : Tuthill Park, Sioux Falls, SD : May 1, 2027
TutHell 50K is a looped ultramarathon held at Tuthill Park in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The course is a roughly 0.31 mile singletrack loop climbed and descended repeatedly; participants complete 100 loops for the event distance. Each loop gains about 90 feet of elevation and runners have 12 hours to complete as many loops as they attempt.
Field size is limited to about 40 to 50 runners. There is no general registration; entry is determined by submission of an essay as part of the selection process. Race costs are covered by the organizers and entry itself is free; each entrant pledges donations to a shared pot.
The race allocates 100 percent of the collected pot to charities chosen by the male and female champions. Donations and pledges are tax deductible through the fiscal sponsor Falls Area Singletrack. The event published fundraising totals for prior years, including about $4,000 in 2025 and $5,200 in 2026, with a combined total of more than $9,200 raised through the first two editions.
The course description notes a start location near a large tree by park restrooms and directs runners along the singletrack up and down a hill. The event also lists basic race provisions such as an aid station and timing and tracking. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
