Lilla's Revenge MMXXVI
Lilla's Revenge MMXXVI is a 10-mile trail running event held within the North York Moors National Park. The route follows part of the Lykewake Walk long-distance footpath and includes visits to distinctive landscape features on the moor.
The course passes Lilla Howe, the site of Lilla Cross, a stone cross that dates to the 7th century and is considered one of the oldest surviving crosses on the moors. The cross commemorates the death of Lilla, a thane to King Edwin. The route also goes by Louvern Howe, which is believed to be a Neolithic or Bronze Age long barrow burial site, one of several prehistoric monuments across the North York Moors.
This edition is presented by SilverBackTrails and is the fourth running of Lilla's Revenge. Entry is listed as £20 via SiEntries. The event location is given as North Yorkshire, Jugger Howe Beck, United Kingdom, and it is organized as an in-person trail running event within the national park.
