Castleton Show Run
The Castleton Show Run is held at the Castleton show ground by the Cricket Club (YO21 2EX). The course is approximately 6 miles, with the start and finish located at the show ground.
The route is an undulating road course through the North York Moors National Park and passes Dibble Bridge, Hob Hole and Westerdale. The course is run anti-clockwise, heading south out of Hob Hole and up the hill to Westerdale. The route is marked with kilometre markers and a colour coded elevation profile shows higher sections in red and lower sections in blue.
The event is held under UK Athletics rules with Licence No 29438. Prizes are awarded to leading individuals, veterans and teams. All entrants must be at least 16 years old on the day of the race. Entry fees are UKA registered £12 and unattached £14; entry on the day is available at the same price and a separate £5 fee applies to enter the showfield.
