Castleton Show Run
The Castleton Show Run takes place on Saturday 12 September 2026 and is organised by North York Moors Athletic Club. The race is a road event of approximately 6 miles, starting and finishing in the Castleton show ground by the Cricket Club (YO21 2EX).
The course runs through the North York Moors National Park and passes Dibble Bridge, Hob Hole and Westerdale. The route is run anti-clockwise, includes kilometre markers and an elevation profile, and is described as an undulating road course. Course records are listed at 32:42 for men (2006) and 39:27 for women (2004).
Entries are accepted online through the organiser and entry on the day is available at the same price. Entry fees are £12 for UKA registered competitors and £14 for unattached competitors. On-the-day entrants must pay an additional £5 to enter the showfield. The event is held under UK Athletics rules, licence number 29438.
Prizes are awarded to leading individuals, veterans and teams. All entrants must be at least 16 years old on the day of the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
