McCain Yorkshire Coast 10K : Event overview
The McCain Yorkshire Coast 10K is scheduled for Sunday 11 October 2026 and is organised by Run For All. The event starts and finishes at Scarborough SPA and follows a coastal route around South Bay, past the harbour, round the headland into North Bay, through the Open Air Theatre and back to the SPA. Previously the race was managed by Scarborough Athletics Club.
Entrants must be 15 years or older on event day. The event welcomes walkers, joggers and runners of different ages and abilities. Race HQ is located at The SPA, Scarborough YO11 2HD. Race numbers are posted from 8 October and can be collected from the Race Office if not received.
On-course facilities include a water station between the 4 km and 5 km marks, toilets at The SPA and on the course, first aid at Race HQ and along the route, and a chase vehicle for participants needing assistance. Bag drop is provided in the Ocean Room on the first floor at the back of the SPA; participants should attach the baggage label from their race number.
Sustainability measures include recycling bins on course and trainer drop-off stations with JogOn next to the Race Office. There is no parking at The SPA; several nearby public car parks are listed and road closures affect the seafront in South Bay and North Bay.
