About the race
The Cow Shed Backyard Ultra takes place at Wheelbirks Parlour, Wheelbirks Farm, Stocksfield, Northumberland. It features a 4.1-mile loop that competitors must complete on the hour, every hour, until only one runner remains. Each loop climbs about 550 feet and traverses farmland, single-track trail and woodland dirt tracks, with the course fully waymarked and marshalled on private land.
Notable features include eco-friendly practices—no disposable cups—and a seed-memento for participants; free camping for entrants and on-site catering.
