Sight Night Red Deer 2026
Sight Night Red Deer 2026 is scheduled for October 17, 2026. The event is a fun run held after dark where vision is optional. Registration fees are listed at $20 for children and $60 for adults, with early bird rates noted on the Running Room registration page. All money raised goes directly to the Alberta Sports and Recreation Association for the Blind to support sport and recreation opportunities for blind and visually impaired Albertans.
The event is offered as a walk or run for a range of participants and includes the following distance options:
- 3K walk
- 3K run
- 5K run
- 8K run
Each participant receives a headlamp in their registration bag and a braille medal is handed out at the finish. Fundraising and donations are part of the event; tax receipts can be issued for donations over $20. Online donations remain open until race day and prizes are awarded to the top fundraisers. A pledge form is available for collecting pledges. Volunteer opportunities are available. Event sponsors include Flaman Fitness, Running Room and AMI.
