Red Deer Spartan Event Weekend - Heritage Ranch, Alberta
The Spartan event takes place on August 8 and 9, 2026 at Heritage Ranch on the banks of the Red Deer River. The ranch covers 217 acres and features a course with stable elevation and a mix of wide and single-track trails. Heritage Ranch is located roughly halfway between Calgary and Edmonton and includes on-site amenities such as the Westlake Grill, guided horseback trail rides, and scenic walks.
The weekend includes multiple race formats with obstacles counted per course. Listed formats include Sprint, Super, Beast and a Kids Race. The Beast is part of the Canada National Series. A Hurricane Heat four hour event and spectator options are also listed. The Sprint entry shows an average completion time and each race lists an obstacle count.
