Event overview
The Shriners 5K takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in Fairmont, WV (Marion County Trail, 26554). The event offers an in-person 5K, a virtual 5K option, and a 1-mile walk. Entry for listed events is $30. Registration opens on May 1, 2026. All participants receive a participation medal. Registrants who sign up before September 15 will receive a T-shirt. Top three in-person finishers receive medals in the categories Overall Male, Overall Female, and Overall 15 and Under. The event supports Osiris Shriners and their charitable work with Shriners Children’s.

Course and logistics
The start and finish are located near the MCPARC Meredith Tunnel trailhead in Fairmont. Parking and registration are accessed near the intersection of Morgantown Avenue and Winfield Street; use 1801 Morgantown Avenue, Fairmont, WV 26554 to navigate. The course begins at the tunnel trail entrance and turns right onto Morgantown Avenue, with about 80 feet of elevation gain in the first half mile. It then follows Sunset Boulevard, Speedway Avenue, East Park Avenue, and Indiana Avenue, before returning to Morgantown Avenue with an approximately 80 foot elevation decline to the finish.
