Shriners 5K
The Shriners 5K takes place on October 3, 2026 on the Marion County Trail in Fairmont, West Virginia. The event supports the work of Osiris Shriners, an organization that promotes friendship and supports Shriners Children's in northern West Virginia. Registration opens May 1 and closes July 31, 2026; the registration fee is $30.

The in-person course begins at the tunnel trail entrance near the MCPARC Meredith Tunnel trailhead and turns immediately onto Morgantown Avenue, gaining about 80 feet in the first half mile. The route continues onto Sunset Boulevard and Speedway Avenue, reaches East Park Avenue after about one mile, then follows Indiana Avenue by Price Cutters before returning to Morgantown Avenue for an approximate 80 foot decline to the finish. There is a water stop located around mile 2. Start and finish are near the Meredith Tunnel trailhead; the event is not at Pricketts Fort. Parking and registration are accessed near the intersection of Morgantown Avenue and Winfield Street; use 1801 Morgantown Avenue for navigation.
All participants receive a participation medal. Registrants before September 15 receive a tee shirt. Top three in-person finishers receive medals in the Overall Male, Overall Female, and Overall 15 and Under categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
