Morgantown Running 5k Turkey Trot 2026
The event in Morgantown, WV features a 5k Run/Walk and a Kids 800m Turkey Fun Run for children under 12. It is scheduled for Thursday, November 26, 2026, in Morgantown.

The 5k course begins on the blue track by the WVU Coliseum, follows Mon Blvd downhill past Texas Roadhouse, turns onto Boyers Avenue, then Leeway Street, passes Sheetz and proceeds onto the rail trail. The final roughly two miles are on the rail trail, finishing behind the Seneca Center at Morgantown Running. The kids race is two laps around the blue track and will be run in two heats for younger and older children.
Prizes and amenities include awards for the top three male and top three female 5k finishers, awards for the top male and female 5k walkers, random prize drawings from Morgantown Running, and a pair of socks for the first 1,000 registered participants. Walkers who register in the walk category are asked to remain walking during the event. The event policy states no dogs allowed and no refunds.
Online registration closes November 23. In-person registration and packet pick-up are available at Morgantown Running in the days before the event and on race morning at the Shell Building behind the Coliseum. Parking is available at the start or the finish, with a shuttle provided by Fox Shuttle Service. Donations of specified clothing and nonperishable proteins for Christian Help may be dropped off at Morgantown Running before the event or on race day.
