Morgantown Running 5k Turkey Trot 2026
The Morgantown Running 5k Turkey Trot takes place in Morgantown, West Virginia on Thursday, November 26, 2026. The event is organized around Morgantown Running and finishes behind the Seneca Center. Dogs are not allowed and there are no refunds.
Distances offered:
- 5k run or walk
- 800 m Kids Turkey Fun Run, two laps around the blue track
The 5k course begins on the blue track by the WVU Coliseum, follows nearly a full lap before exiting onto Mon Boulevard, continues past local landmarks including Texas Roadhouse and Sheetz, then turns onto the rail trail for the final portion to the finish behind the Seneca Center at Morgantown Running.
Awards and extras include prizes for the top three male and top three female 5k finishers, awards for the top male and top female 5k walkers, random prize drawings from Morgantown Running, and a pair of socks for the first 1000 registered participants. Walk entrants are required to walk only; participants who wish to run should register for the run.
Parking is available at the start by the WVU Coliseum track or at the finish at the Seneca Center, with shuttle service provided by Fox Shuttle Service. Online registration closes Monday, November 23. In-person registration and packet pick-up are available at Morgantown Running and on race morning at the Shell Building.
