Morgantown Running 5k Turkey Trot 2026
The event offers a 5k run/walk and a separate 800 meter Kids Turkey Fun Run for children under 12. The 5k course starts on the blue track by the WVU Coliseum, follows Mon Boulevard downhill past Texas Roadhouse, turns onto Boyers Avenue and Leeway Street, passes Sheetz, then continues on the rail trail for the final approximately two miles to a finish behind the Seneca Center at Morgantown Running.

The kids fun run consists of two laps around the blue track and will be run in two heats: children under 5 in heat one and children 5 to 12 in heat two. Awards will be presented to the top three male and top three female 5k finishers and to the top male and top female 5k walkers. Walkers registered in the walk category must remain walking for the timed walk category. Random prize drawings will be held and the first 1,000 registered participants will receive a pair of socks.
Dogs are not allowed. There are no refunds. Parking is available at the blue track start or at the Seneca Center finish, and a shuttle will run before and after the event provided by Fox Shuttle Service. Online registration closes November 23. In-person registration and packet pick-up are scheduled the day before at Morgantown Running and on the morning of the event at the Shell Building.
