Morgantown Running Turkey Trot
The Morgantown Running Turkey Trot takes place on November 26, 2026 in Morgantown, WV. The event includes two races and related services at Morgantown Running and nearby locations.

The 5k run or walk begins on the blue track by the WVU Coliseum and follows a course that exits the track, continues down Mon Boulevard past Mountain State, turns onto Boyers Avenue and Leeway Street, then joins the rail trail for the final approximately 2 miles to the finish behind the Seneca Center at Morgantown Running. Participants may run or walk; walkers registered in the walk category must not run during that category. Race results will be posted in age categories.
The kids 800 m is two laps around the blue track and will be organized in two heats by age: children under 5 in the first heat, and children ages 6 to 12 in the second heat. Kids under 12 may also register for the 5k.
Practical details: parking is available at the start and at the finish, with shuttle service provided by Fox Shuttle Service between those locations. Timing is provided by mountaintiming.com. Awards will go to the top three male and top three female 5k finishers and to the top male and top female 5k walkers. Random prize drawings will be held and the first 1,000 registered participants will receive a pair of socks in size options S/M or L/XL.
Additional notes: dogs are not allowed and there are no refunds. A local donation drive is collecting men's gently used clothing, belts, shoes, and nonperishable protein items at Morgantown Running in the lead-up to the event and on race day.
