Shinnston Turkey Trot & Gobble Wobble
The Shinnston Turkey Trot & Gobble Wobble takes place on November 26, 2026 in Shinnston, West Virginia at 208 South Pike Street. The event marks 250 years of America and encourages participants to wear red, white and blue.
The event layout includes a 3.1-mile loop that begins on the road and finishes on the rail trail. Professional chip timing is provided by Pike Street Bikes. The event enforces a no pets allowed policy.

Registration opens May 28, 2026 and closes November 24, 2026. Registration fees are $25.00 for the 5K run and walk, and $10.00 for the kids 1K. Early packet pickup is scheduled for November 25 at Shinnston Lighthouse on Rebecca Street.
Prizes and awards include cash for the top three overall male and female finishers ($300, $200, $100), a Turkey Cup for the largest team, costume contests, and other participant awards. The event will provide a new race souvenir for participants instead of traditional t-shirts.
Proceeds support the Shinnston Turkey Trot Scholarship, which awards $1,000 each to one male and one female high school senior planning to attend college or trade school in fall 2027. Remaining funds support projects throughout Shinnston.
