Overview
The Old Port Half Marathon & 5K takes place in Portland, Maine on June 6, 2026. The event uses waterfront and historic city streets and highlights views of Casco Bay, Back Cove, and the Old Port neighborhood. Both races use a single-loop course.

Race logistics and course
The start and finish are located between Spring Street and Union Street in Portland. The 5K course is closed to traffic and begins in the Old Port district, running along tree-lined streets with 19th-century homes. The 5K climbs about 75 feet in the first mile, then drops to sea level along the waterfront. Course maps and elevation profiles are provided by the organizer.
Packet pickup is at Stevens Square Community Center in Portland on the Thursday and Friday before the race. There is no race day packet pickup; packet mailing is available if added by the posted deadline. Roads will be temporarily closed to vehicle traffic on race day.
Services, awards, and extras
Aid stations, professionally timed results, and race pacers are provided. Pacers are listed for a range of finish times. Gear check requires a clear bag; non-clear bags are not accepted and all gear must be claimed by the posted time. After the finish there is a block-party style after party with snacks, live music, and complimentary beer or hard seltzer for those 21 and over. Awards are given to the top 3 men and women overall and to top 3 in defined age groups for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
