Sharpness 4

Sharpness 4 takes place on 4 October 2026 and is a fairly new road race that forms part of the 2026 Gloucestershire AAA Road Race Series. The course is a single undulating lap of four miles with 260 feet of climb, run mostly on quiet country lanes.

The race starts and finishes at the Sharpness Sports and Social Club. The club provides parking, toilets and refreshments. The course includes a short out and back alongside the docks, a crossing of Sharpness High Bridge, a run down to the village centre and an anti clockwise loop back to the bridge before the finish in the club. All finishers receive a hot drink and a medal.

Prizes are awarded to the first three men and first three women, with additional prizes in five year age steps from U20 and senior up to V80 plus. There is also a combined team prize for the first team made up of two men and two women.

Entries are accepted only via Entry Central and close on 1 October 2026. Entry fees are shown as £14.50 discounted and £16.50 standard for entries before 1 October. A £5 discount applies for runners aged 15 to 19 on race day. Refunds may be made less a charge of around £2; places may be exchanged before the entry closing day. Organisers will provide relevant medical details to the first aid provider, so entrants must complete that question on the entry form and notify organisers of any changes.
