Sharpness 4 : 4 mile road race in Sharpness
Sharpness 4 is a road race held on 4 October 2026. The course is a single undulating lap mostly on quiet country lanes and covers 4 miles with 260 feet of climb. It begins with a short out-and-back section alongside the docks, crosses Sharpness High Bridge, passes through the village centre on an anti clockwise loop and returns over the bridge to finish at the Sharpness Sports and Social Club.
The club provides parking, toilets and refreshments. All finishers receive a hot drink and a medal. The event forms part of the 2026 Gloucestershire AAA Road Race Series. Prizes are awarded to the first three men and first three women and to the best remaining runners in five year age steps from U20 and SM/SF up to V80+. There is also a combined team prize for the first team consisting of two men and two women.
Entries are accepted only via Entry Central and close at the end of 1 October. A £5 discount applies for runners aged 15 to 19 on race day, and a discounted entry fee applies for members of EA WA SA. Refunds are possible less a charge of around £2; places may be exchanged free of charge up to 20:00 on entry closing day.
