Shamrock Shuffle - Lawrence
The Lawrence Shamrock Shuffle is an annual running event held at Johnny's Tavern, 401 N. 2nd Street, Lawrence, KS. The courses wind through the North Lawrence and Pinkney neighborhoods. All money raised will benefit local Lawrence children’s charities selected in the fall.
Registration includes a commemorative race shirt, a participation award, and an Irish breakfast provided by Johnny’s North. Aid stations are located on the course at approximately every 1.5 to 2 miles. Packet pickup is available at Ad Astra (835 Massachusetts) and at Johnny’s North on race weekend. Course maps are tentative and may change due to road construction.
Awards are presented for top finishers overall and by age category, including masters and Super Masters classes. Age group awards are given to the top three males and top three females in multiple age brackets from under 10 through 80 plus. The Family 5K offers a children’s rate: youngsters under 16 may run with a registered parent for $10 and receive a shirt when entered at the same time.
