runLawrence Thanksgiving Day 5K
The event is a community 5K road race in Lawrence KS that raises funds for Woodlawn School and local youth running programs and clubs. The event also includes a free children's fun run of one kilometer with medals for all finishers.
Packet pickup is offered the day before at Ad Astra Running, 835 Massachusetts, Lawrence KS, and on race day at Woodlawn School, 508 Elm, Lawrence KS. Participants may leave warm-ups in a supervised bag drop area in the school gym during the race. Restrooms are available inside the school and port a johns are located near the start area. The start and finish line are in front of Woodlawn School on Elm Street.

Entry fees vary by date and household: $39.08 before Nov 22; $34.79 per person for families of three or more before Nov 22; $44.45 Nov 22 through Nov 26. Fees include processing and sales tax. Souvenir Goodr sunglasses are provided to the first 1400 entries.
Safety rules prohibit dogs, headsets, roller skates, and wagons on the 5K course. Strollers must start at the back and be walked. Streets are not closed for the race so participants should be alert for vehicle traffic.
Chip timing is used and the timing chip is attached to the bib. Awards include age group prizes, VanGo awards and gift certificates, and specified prize money amounts for top finishers and age graded masters.
