A supervised bag drop is available in the gym; restrooms are inside the school and port-a-johns are placed near the start area. Parking is not permitted directly around Woodlawn School; nearby parking options include the Union Depot lot, a south public lot two blocks away, a lot behind Johnny's Tavern, and the City Hall parking garage across the river. Watch for traffic when crossing streets.

Safety rules prohibit dogs, headsets, roller skates, and wagons on the 5K. Strollers must start at the rear and walkers should use the back of the field. Timing uses a chip attached to the bib and live results are available during the event. Awards include VanGo awards and store gift certificates for top finishers by age division and prize money for top overall and age-graded masters. A free children’s fun run of 1 km awards medals to all finishers.
