Real Florida 5K/10K - 40th Annual
The Real Florida 5K/10K takes place on February 20, 2027, at Wekiwa Springs State Park in Apopka, FL. The event is run entirely off-road on trails within the state park and offers both a 5-kilometer and a 10-kilometer distance.
- 5K - Off-road trail distance through Wekiwa Springs State Park.
- 10K - Off-road trail distance through Wekiwa Springs State Park.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Wekiva Wilderness Trust, a non-profit that supports state parks in the Wekiva River Basin, including Wekiwa Springs State Park. The event is part of the Orlando Runners Club Annual Challenge Series and is limited to 350 runners due to park rules.
Every finisher receives a medal and a commemorative t-shirt. Prizes are awarded to the four overall winners (fastest female and male for each distance) and to male and female winners in each age group for both the 5K and 10K. All registrants are entered into a chance drawing for additional prizes. Light refreshments and awards are provided after the races, and Artesano Coffee will operate a food truck offering beverages and bakery items for sale.
A virtual race option is available. Virtual participants may complete their 5K or 10K between February 1 and February 25, 2027, using the ItsYourRace mobile app or other timing apps and then submit their time to the online results. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
