Shamrock Beer Run - Rockford takes place Saturday March 14, 2026 at Sportscore One in Rockford, Illinois (1288 Elmwood Road, 61103). The event offers two registration options:
- 5k
- BrewFest Entry (No 5K)
The 5k uses two start waves. The course is described as fast and flat with some speed bumps approximately every kilometer. Five local craft breweries host optional beer stops along the route; participants may receive a 3 ounce sample at each stop and are greeted with a 16 oz pint at the finish. Registered participants receive a souvenir stadium cup pint glass, a Magical Shamrock Beer Run tech T-shirt, a race bib, and a finisher medal that also functions as a bottle opener.
A post-race party will be held indoors. Packet pickup is available at Sportscore One the day before the event and on race day.
Proceeds benefit the Nikolas Ritschel Foundation, an organization that supports young adults with cancer and has helped over 300 young adults since 2012. The event also includes an online auction and a special raffle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
