Event Overview
The Shamrock 4 Miler returns to the Stonecrest at Piper Glen area in Charlotte. This seasonal event features a road race through the neighborhoods surrounding the shopping center. The course is designed with a mostly downhill first half, followed by an uphill section leading back to the finish line.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 4 Miler
- Kids Kilometer (for ages 12 and under)
Participant Information
Registered participants receive a short-sleeve event t-shirt while supplies last. Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race at Run For Your Life store locations, or on-site on the morning of the event. The venue does not provide a bag check service. For safety reasons, dogs are not permitted on the course, though strollers and baby joggers are welcome to join the general start.
Post-Race Activities
The event includes holiday-themed activities following the runs. Attendees can participate in post-race trivia and a Lucky Charms eating contest with a cash prize. An awards ceremony is held approximately 30 minutes after the first finisher, recognizing winners in various categories from ages 14 and under up to 75 and over. Medical services are provided at the start and finish line by Novant Health, and porta-potties are available on-site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
