SF AAPI 5K - Crissy Fields, San Francisco
The SF AAPI 5K at Crissy Fields is a road race held to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. The event seeks to create a safe and welcoming space for AAPI runners and walkers, raise funds and awareness for AAPI nonprofit organizations, and support AAPI small businesses. The course distance is 5K.
Teams with eight or more runners who register by April 12 will receive a cha siu bao (baked pork bun) or a bolo bao (pineapple bun). The April 12 deadline helps organizers prepare and order enough buns.
There is a costume challenge for the 5K; participants may run or walk in costume and anime characters receive bonus points.
There is no race day bib pickup. Bibs must be picked up at Sports Basement Presidio (610 Old Old Mason St, San Francisco) on Wednesday, May 6; Thursday, May 7; or Friday, May 8, each day from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Friends or family members may pick up a bib on those days. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
