The Settle Hills Race takes place on Sun 21 Jun 2026 in Settle, Yorkshire Dales, England. It is a BM-category fell race held around Settle and the surrounding hills. The course distance is 11.3 km (7 miles) with 500 m (1,640 ft) of climb. Minimum age to enter is 18. The race starts in Settle Market Place behind the Shambles, about a 5 minute walk from the North Ribblesdale Rugby Club venue where free parking is available.
Entry and logistics
Pre-entry is available via SiEntries from early 2026. Entry on the day is permitted. Fees are: pre-entry £10 (members) and £12 (non-members); entry on the day £12 (members) and £15 (non-members). Competitors are required to carry a waterproof/windproof top and hat, or full kit if weather is bad, at the discretion of the race organiser. A good map of the course is provided.
Course, teams and records
The route is a hilly fell course with mixed terrain, steep grassy descents and tracks, with views toward Pen-Y-Ghent. The route is well flagged and supported by race marshals. Light refreshments are available at the finish. Teams are allowed, with the first three men and first three women to count. The race holds a permit and UK Athletics insurance from the FRA.
