Beyond the Lune Winter Editions is a trail running event on Saturday 20 December 2025 at The Royal Barn, Kirkby Lonsdale, LA6 2AB. The event starts and finishes at The Barn, which is also home to a local brewery and coffee roasters. Routes include on- and off-road sections using local footpaths, bridleways and river paths. A cut-off time of 1pm applies to all runs. Under-16s may take part if running with a parent or guardian.

The 5 km course runs out towards Casterton golf club and returns along the river, with a section at Mill Brow. The 10 km uses local footpaths and bridleways around Casterton and Bullpot, returns via Devils Bridge and river paths and includes a final set of steps. The 20 km tours Brownthwaite Pike (Bullpot), follows a steep fell road and tracks to a trig point and cairn with valley and distant mountain views, then returns via Devils Bridge and the river path. The 10 km is recommended for runners who can self-navigate; the 20 km requires self-navigation.
Entry fees are listed as: 20 km £25.00, 10 km £20.00, 5 km £7.50. Entries open 30 August 2025 and close 15 December 2025; registration is via the event entry system. Event packages vary by distance and include items such as a Santa hat for the 5 km, hot drink and mince pie at the 5 km finish, and pastry and coffee at the start, route GPX file, event merchandise, marshals on parts of the route and a finisher beer for the longer distances.
