Beyond the Lune - Christmas Crumble Run
Beyond the Lune - Christmas Crumble Run is a one-day trail running event in Kirkby Lonsdale that offers two route options starting from The Barn, the tap house of Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery and Coffee Roasters. The courses use local footpaths, bridleways and some on- and off-road sections across the surrounding parishes and hills.

- 20 km
The 10 km route is fully marked and supported by marshals. The 20 km route is partially signed and requires participants to be able to self-navigate in varied visibility. Both routes pass features such as Brownthwaite Pike (Bullpot), Devils Bridge, riverside paths and the radical steps, with views across the Lune Valley and toward the Lake District on clear days.
Participants receive a free pastry and a hot drink at the start, a GPX file of the route, event merchandise, a seasonal Christmas Crumble Box and a finishers beer. The event has a cut off time of 1pm for all runs. Minimum age is 16, and those aged 16 to 18 must run with an accompanying adult. Entries open 20 August 2026 and close 14 December 2026.
