Event Overview
The 14th annual Set the Pace event takes place on May 2, 2026, at Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, Massachusetts. The event includes a 5K run and a 1-mile walk.
Courses
The event features two courses:
- A 5K run.
- A 1-mile walk.
Awards
Awards are given for both the 5K and the 1-mile walk. The top three overall male and female finishers in each activity receive awards. For the 5K only, additional awards are given to the first-place male and female in multiple age groups, from 10 & under to 80+. Awards for the 1-mile course are designated for walkers.
Registration
Registration is open for several participant categories with different fees: Adult 5K (ages 19+), Student 5K (ages 11-18), Children 5K (ages 10 & under), 1 Mile, and a free Fun Run option. A deadline is set for participants who wish to receive an event shirt.
Beneficiary
The event benefits the Friends of South Shore Health Cardiovascular Care. The associated Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Center specializes in the prevention, detection, treatment, and rehabilitation of heart disease, handling over 10,000 patient visits per year.
