Set the Pace 5K - Hingham
The event takes place on May 1, 2027 at Wompatuck State Park in Hingham. It offers two course options:
- 5K
- 1 mile walk
Registration fees for the 5K are listed by age: Adults 21+ $30 thru 5/1 and $35 on race day; ages 11-20 $25 thru 5/1 and $30 on race day; age 10 and under $20 thru 5/1 and $25 on race day. The 1 mile walk is $15 thru 5/1 and $20 on race day.
Bib pickup is handled at the DCR Wompatuck State Park Visitors Center, 204 Union Street, Hingham. There is a short 5 plus minute walk from the Visitors Center to the starting area, so participants should allow time to reach the trail start. On site registration and bib pickup are available on the morning of the event.
Awards are given to the Top 3 overall male and female finishers for both the 5K and the 1 mile walk. The 5K also awards 1st place male and female in age groups 10 & under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 plus. Results and awards for the 1 mile course apply to walkers only.
The shirt order deadline is end of day April 13. Unclaimed shirts are distributed at the finish on a first come, first served basis and are not mailed. Dogs are not allowed on the course; trained service animals require advance contact at least 48 hours before the event. Headphones may be used but must not prevent following directions from on course volunteers. Course maps are provided for both distances. The event benefits the Friends of South Shore Health Cardiovascular Care, whose Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Center records over 10,000 patient visits per year and works with more than 30 cardiology and surgical specialists.
