14th Annual Set the Pace 5K - Hingham

The event takes place May 2, 2026 at Wompatuck State Park in Hingham and includes a 5K run and a 1 Mile walk. Online registration is open for 2026 and on site registration and bib pickup are available the day of the event. Registration fees through May 1 and race day fees are listed for each age group.

There are two distance options:

  • 5K
  • 1 Mile walk

Number pickup is at the DCR Wompatuck State Park Visitors Center, 204 Union Street, Hingham. Bib pickup and on site registration are available Saturday, May 2 from 7:45am to 8:45am. Expect a short walk of about five minutes or more from the Visitors Center to the trail starting area.

Shirts require registration by the end of day April 12. Shirts are not mailed. Shirts registered before the deadline must be collected before the race or will be distributed at the finish line on a first come, first served basis.

Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers in both the 5K and the 1 Mile walk. The 5K also awards first place male and female in age groups 10 and under, 11 to 15, 16 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 plus. Results and awards for the 1 Mile course are for walkers only.

Dogs are not allowed on the race course. Participants with trained service animals should notify organizers at least 48 hours before the event.

The event benefits the Friends of South Shore Health Cardiovascular Care. The Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Center at South Shore Health reports more than 10,000 patient visits per year and works with more than 30 cardiologists, radiologists, and vascular surgeons to address prevention, detection, treatment, and rehabilitation of heart disease.
