Serpent's Back Mountain Bike Duathlon, Montauk NY
The Serpent's Back Mountain Bike Duathlon returns for its 23rd annual edition on October 11, 2026 at the Serpent's Back Event Site in Montauk, New York. The event is an in-person multi-sport competition combining running and mountain biking, offered in individual, bike-only and team formats.
Event formats and distances include:
- Individual duathlon: 1.6 mile run, 11.5 mile bike, 1.6 mile run
- Bike only: 11.5 mile bike
- Duo relay (two members): 2 mile run, 12 mile bike, 2 mile run
Amenities listed for participants include a classic hoodie sweatshirt for all registrants, pizza and raffles after the race, live online/text/email results, free finish-line photos, and personalized bibs for registrations completed at least three weeks in advance. Awards are planned for top finishers by gender and category, including top three overall in individual duathlon and bike divisions and top three relay teams by category.
