Serpent's Back Mountain Bike Duathlon 2027
Serpent's Back Mountain Bike Duathlon is a run-bike-run event staged in Montauk, NY. The format combines two short runs with a mountain bike segment and includes individual and team entries.
The race distances are:
- 1.6 mile run
- 11.5 mile bike
- 1.6 mile run
Registration is not yet open; the organizer states registration will open in advance of the event date listed on the event site. Information from a prior edition is available on the site.
Amenities for registrants include a Classic hoodie sweatshirt, postrace pizza and raffles, live online and text or email results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for those registered at least three weeks in advance.
Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers overall in the individual duathlon and individual bike categories, and top three in male, female, and mixed relay divisions.
Proceeds are designated for the Montauk Playhouse proposed community pool construction.
Bibs must be picked up with a known bib number; a self lookup area is available. Bib numbers are sent by text or email for participants registered more than 24 hours before pickup and are issued rapidly for late registrations.
