May Day 5K Run/Walk : Main Beach, East Hampton
The event is a community 5K run and walk held at Main Beach in East Hampton during May. The event includes race packet pickup, amenities, and an awards ceremony. The first 400 participants to pick up their packet receive a T-shirt. Personalized bibs are available for those who register at least three weeks in advance.
Pre-race packet pickup is held at the Main Beach Pavilion the day before the race from 3 to 5 pm. Day of registration and packet pickup open early on race day. Last-minute registrants may receive their bib number by text shortly after registering.
Amenities provided include a T-shirt, refreshments, music, live results by web and text, free finish line photos, and an awards ceremony. The course does not allow dogs. Participants using strollers are asked to start at the back of the field. Free parking is available.
Awards are given to the top male and female overall and to the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and over.
