OMAC May Day 5K Run/Walk
The OMAC May Day 5K Run/Walk is a community road event held in early May at Main Beach in East Hampton. The event offers participant amenities including a T-shirt, refreshments, music, an awards ceremony, live results by web, text and email, free finish-line photos, and free parking. Personalized bibs are available for those who register at least three weeks in advance, and the first 400 participants to pick up their packet receive a T-shirt.
Packet pickup is available before the race at the Main Beach Pavilion and on race day at the venue. Race operations note that dogs are not allowed on the course and that participants using strollers are asked to start at the back of the field.
Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus.
Proceeds from the event support the Tyler Project, an organization that provides counseling, education, and programs focused on mental health awareness and prevention of cyberbullying for students, young adults, and families. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
