May Day 5K Run/Walk - Main Beach, East Hampton
The May Day 5K Run/Walk is held at Main Beach in East Hampton in early May. The event includes race-day timing with live online, text, and email results, and free finish-line photos.
Amenities listed for participants include a T-shirt, refreshments, music, an awards ceremony, and personalized bibs for those who register at least three weeks in advance. The first 400 people who pick up their race packet receive a T-shirt.
Awards are given to the top male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled at the Main Beach Pavilion on the day before the race, with day-of registration and packet pickup also available. A bib number is required for pickup; last-minute registrants within 24 hours may receive their bib number by text.
Course rules include no dogs allowed and a request that participants using strollers start at the back of the field. Free parking is available. Proceeds support The Tyler Project, an organization focused on mental health awareness, counseling, and education for young people and families.
