May Day 5K Run/Walk
May Day 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Main Beach in East Hampton. The event is presented as a community 5-kilometer run and walk. Registration is not yet open. The first 400 people to pick up their race packet receive a T-shirt.
Amenities include a T-shirt, refreshments, music, an awards ceremony, live results by web, text and email, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for those registered at least three weeks in advance. Free parking is available near the venue.
Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers within age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus.
Pre-race packet pickup is provided on Saturday, May 2 at the Main Beach Pavilion. Day-of registration and packet pickup are available at the race site. Last-minute registrants within 24 hours may receive their bib number by text.
The course rules note that dogs are not allowed on the race course. Participants with strollers are asked to start toward the back of the field. Net proceeds from the event benefit the Tyler Project, an organization focused on mental health awareness, counseling, and programs addressing cyberbullying and youth crises.
