Katy's Courage 5K Run/Walk
Katy's Courage 5K Run/Walk is a community 5 kilometre event held in Sag Harbor, NY. The course starts on Water Street and finishes adjacent to the water and the harbor. The route is described as generally flat with a few small, gentle hills.
Amenities listed for participants include a tee shirt for every entrant, music provided by a DJ, and refreshments such as hot chocolate, donuts, bagels and other drinks. Packet pickup and race day registration take place on the morning of the event in front of Baron's Cove. Registrations made about three weeks before the event may receive a personalized race number. A bib lookup process is available for those who do not know their assigned number, and late registrants may receive bib information by text near pickup.
Awards are given to the top overall male and female finishers and medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in standard age groups from youth through seniors. Proceeds benefit Katy's Courage and are designated for local scholarships and cancer research. Live online, email and text results are provided, along with free video and same-day finish line photos.
