About the race
John Keeshan Memorial Montauk Turkey Trot is a run and walk event held in Montauk, New York, at the Montauk Chamber of Commerce and The Circle (742 Montauk Hwy.). The event offers in-person and virtual participation options and includes course, bib, and award details for live participants.
Distances:
- 3 mile in-person or virtual
- 6 mile in-person or virtual
- 11 mile virtual only
The 3 mile course is one lap; the 6 mile course is two laps of the same street course. Start and finish are on the street. Medals are awarded at the live event to top finishers overall and in age-group categories for both distances; 6 mile award eligibility requires running through the finish line twice. T-shirts are available for the first 600 participants who pick up their bib. Dogs are not permitted on race morning. A water table will be provided by Montauk Beer & Soda.
Registration is offered for both in-person and virtual entries; listed pricing includes processing fees. Bib pickup can be personalized for registrants who sign up three weeks in advance. Virtual bibs are mailed the Monday prior to the event with an expected 3–5 day delivery window. Virtual participants may upload times and photos during the posted submission window. The event supports local food pantries and Meals on Wheels. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
