The Senior Uphill Euro's Trial: Powerscourt is a mountain running race taking place in County Wicklow. The route follows the 2026 trial course.
Course Information
The route has a total climb of 690 meters over a distance of 6.40 km. The terrain is described as moderate. Only major junctions on the course are marked, and the use of GPS devices is not allowed.
Mandatory Kit
All runners must bring Level B mandatory kit. This includes a waterproof jacket, a hat or buff, gloves, a whistle, a charged mobile phone with an emergency number stored, and a foil blanket or equivalent. The specific items to be carried during the race will be confirmed on the day based on conditions. Runners must have a means to carry all required kit.
Entry Information
Entry costs €7 for seniors and €5 for over-65s and under-18s. The entry limit is 100 runners, and online entry closes on the preceding Thursday. This race is not suitable for juniors.
Trial Race Purpose
This event will serve as the trial race for selecting the Irish team for the uphill race at the European Athletics Off-road Running Championships in Ljubljana-Kamnik, Slovenia, in June 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
