Volkswagen Financial Services Wicklow Half & 10K
The Volkswagen Financial Services Wicklow event offers two measured and certified road races that start at South Quay, Wicklow Harbour, and finish inside Wicklow Gaol. The course follows coastal roads before moving inland through rolling countryside in County Wicklow, with scenic seaside sections and rural terrain.

Entries include chip timing, a finisher’s medal, finish-line refreshments, and professional race management. The event provides official parking at Wicklow Council Offices and the train station; the train station is a 20-minute walk from the start and Bus Éireann Route 133 serves Wicklow. Bag drop is located at Blackcastle and opens from 9:00am; participants should attach the baggage label from their race number and bring a waterproof bag if needed.
Logistics and rules note a general half-marathon cut-off of 3 hours 30 minutes, multiple wave starts with chip timing, and pacers for half-marathon target times. Water is supplied in paper cups at specified points and toilets are available at the start/finish and along the route. The course is wheelchair accessible but described as extremely hilly. Showers and changing facilities are not provided. Headphones are permitted but runners must remain aware of marshals and other participants. Refunds are not available; name or distance changes can usually be accommodated before numbers are allocated. Results and event photos are published after the race.
