Selkirk Standard Triathlon
The Selkirk Standard Triathlon is part of the Live Borders Triathlon Series and takes place at Selkirk Leisure Centre on 16 August 2026. The event uses a pool swim, a road bike course, and an out-and-back run alongside local rivers and roads. The swim is staged in the leisure centre pool and athletes are started in waves determined by submitted estimated swim times. Transition is located in the car park adjacent to the pool. Ample parking is available at the leisure centre. The event can be completed by relay teams.

The bike route follows the A708 to General’s Bridge, enters Bowhill estate, continues to Ettickbridge End, climbs over the "swire" then descends into the Yarrow valley, and returns on the A708 towards Selkirk. The run is a flat, fast out and back along the river, joining the A7 to Lindean and then the bridge over the River Tweed.
Entry fees vary by category and date. Service fee for sign-ups is 4% with a minimum of 50p. A British Triathlon Race Pass is required for participants who are not British Triathlon Home Nation members; for this event Race Pass costs are £2.00 (plus £0.08 service charge) for participants aged 24 and under, and £8.00 (plus £0.32 service charge) otherwise.
