Event information
The Selkirk Sprint Triathlon takes place on 15 August 2026 at Selkirk Leisure Centre, Buccleuch Road, Selkirk, TD7 5DN. The event is a sprint-distance triathlon with the following race segments:
- Swim: 750 m pool based (30 lengths)
- Bike: 20 km
- Run: 5 km
The pool swim is held at the leisure centre and swim start order is arranged in waves based on submitted estimated swim times. The transition area is located in the car park adjacent to the pool. The event can be completed by relay teams.
The bike course is described as undulating. It leaves the pool, follows alongside the river, then joins the A7 to Lindean, crosses the River Tweed, continues toward Yair Bridge and returns on the main road back into Selkirk. The run follows the riverside path in a clockwise direction, consisting of two laps that finish at the pool.
Entry and fees
Entry is open with a closing date of 01 August 2026. Early entry price until 05 December 2025 is £38.00; the later price is £40.00. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up. A British Triathlon Race Pass is required for participants who are not a British Triathlon Home Nation member: £2.00 (plus £0.08 service charge) for those aged 24 and under, and £8.00 (plus £0.32 service charge) for others.
