Selkirk Sprint Triathlon
The Selkirk Sprint Triathlon is part of the Live Borders Triathlon Series 2026 and takes place on 15 August 2026 at Selkirk Leisure Centre, Buccleuch Road, Selkirk, TD7 5DN. The event is organised by Live Borders and is open in two entry categories: 18+ (capacity 79) and 16-17 years (capacity 20).
Distances for the event:
- 750 m pool swim (30 lengths)
- 20 km bike
- 5 km run
The pool swim is conducted at Selkirk Leisure Centre and swimmers are started in waves based on submitted estimated swim times. Transition is located in the car park adjacent to the pool. The event can be completed by relay teams.
The bike course is described as undulating and leaves the pool area to follow alongside the river, joining the A7 to Lindean, crossing the River Tweed toward Yair Bridge, then returning to Selkirk on the main road. The run follows a riverside path in a clockwise direction for two laps, finishing at the pool.
Registration pricing listed includes an early price of £38 until 05 Dec 2025 and £40 until 01 Aug 2026 12:00. A service fee of 4 percent (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up. The event status is open and the entry closing date is 01 Aug 2026 12:00.
