Selkirk Standard Triathlon
The Selkirk Standard Triathlon takes place at Selkirk Leisure Centre on 16 August 2026 and is organised by Live Borders. The event uses the leisure centre pool for the swim, with waves organised by submitted estimated swim times. Transition is located in the car park adjacent to the pool. Ample parking is available at the leisure centre.
Distances for the standard format are:
- 1500m pool swim
- 40 km bike
- 10 km run
The course description notes that the bike route follows the A708 to General's Bridge, enters Bowhill estate, continues to Ettickbridge End, climbs over the "swire" then descends into the Yarrow valley before returning on the A708 to Selkirk. The run is an out and back route alongside the river, joining the A7 to Lindean and crossing the bridge over the River Tweed.
The event can be completed by a relay team. Different entry categories are listed, including adult, relay, 16-17 years, and a family relay. Entry fees and race pass requirements are specified; a British Triathlon Race Pass is required for participants who are not a British Triathlon Home Nation member, with specified costs depending on age.
