Seaside Showdown Series: Cape Spear Path
The event is a 9.3 race organized by Seaside Showdown Series in St. John's, NL. The course follows the Cape Spear Path, running from Maddox Cove to Cape Spear. The route is not marked on the ground; volunteers will be positioned at key locations, and participants are expected to have knowledge of the trail.
A GPX file for the route is available on request, and routes are also available through the event's Strava club. Race registration includes a Parks Canada day pass fee of $7.65. Bib pick up occurs during race checkin at the starting area.
Parking is provided at the starting line and there is overflow parking at Cape Spear National Historic Site; parking at the finish line may use the right shoulder of the road when leaving the lot. Organizers recommend considering drop off or carpool options for access to the start.
Registrations and bib numbers cannot be transferred to other individuals, though moving a registration to another Seaside Showdown Series race is possible with advance notice. If the event is cancelled, refunds less service fees or rollover registration will be offered. The series includes multiple independent races and offers a season pass option covering four events.
