Seaside Showdown Series: Cape Spear Path
The Cape Spear Path event is part of the Seaside Showdown Series. It is a trail run from Maddox Cove to Cape Spear. The race distance is 9.3 km.
Prior knowledge of the trail is expected from participants, as the course is not flagged. A GPX file of the route is provided for following on a GPS watch. Volunteers will be on the course at key locations to guide runners.
Race check-in takes place on the morning of the event. A Parks Canada day pass valued at $7.65 is included in the registration fee. Drop bags for the finish line can be left at check-in.
Parking at the start is limited; carpooling is encouraged. The starting line is at the Old Maddox Cove Road parking lot. The finish is at the Cape Spear National Historic Site, with overflow parking indicated. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
