Seaside Showdown Series: Cape Spear Path
This event is a 9.3 course in St. John's, NL, running from Maddox Cove to Cape Spear. The Seaside Showdown Series organizes the race and lists a single registration fee of USD 29.00. Race registration includes a Parks Canada day pass fee of $7.65.
The route is unflagged; volunteers will be positioned at key locations to help keep participants on the trail. Participants are expected to know the route in advance. A GPX file is available on request for use with GPS watches or other devices. A Strava club holds the series routes for download and community photos from prior years are maintained.
Parking is available at the starting area and overflow parking is noted at Cape Spear National Historic Site on the right shoulder of the road. Carpooling or drop-off is suggested where parking is limited. If the event is cancelled, refunds less service fees or rollover registration options are offered.
