Sun Run 2026

The Sun Run 2026 is a running event taking place on August 16, 2026, at Bowring Park on Waterford Bridge Road in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. The start is at the west end of the park.

The event features a chip-timed 5 km race. A finisher's medal is provided. A post-race party is held at Jack Astor's restaurant, where a free beer is offered.

Participation is capped at 250 spots total. The registration fee for the 5 km is $45.51 CAD for the early bird rate (until June 20, 2026), increasing to $56.31 CAD thereafter.

Race bib pick-up is scheduled for the day before the event, August 15, at the St. John's Running Room in Churchill Square (9 Rowan Street).
