Uniformed Services Run
The Uniformed Services Run is part of the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Marathon Weekend and is hosted by Athletics NorthEAST Running Club. The event is NLAA accredited and offers multiple race formats across a weekend.
The event includes these distances:
- Marathon
- Half marathon
- Marathon relay
- Quidi Vidi Brewery 10k
- 5k
- 1k kids fun run
- 3k family fun run
A new course for 2026 has been introduced. The new route lowers elevation gain, increases distance in the park by 50 percent, simplifies setup and management, provides improved opportunities for supporters to follow runners, and adds a 5k event.
The 2026 theme recognizes the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Legion. Charitable proceeds are donated to the charity chosen by the previous year s Battle of the Badges winner; the Canadian Coast Guard won that right in 2024 and selected The Islaview Foundation for 2025. The amount raised for that foundation in 2025 was 15,878.21 dollars.
Registration opens April 1 and closes September 10. The shirt in kit deadline is July 26. Entry fees are published with the event and NLAA membership or a day permit is required. Finishers receive a medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
