About the race
The Sea to Summit Triathlon combines core triathlon elements with an extended mountain finish. The course includes an open-water swim, a long road ride, and a final run that finishes by climbing to the summit of Mount Washington, the tallest mountain in the Northeastern United States. Athletes are allowed one support designate, called a porter, to assist them during the event. Distances on the main course include: - Swim 1.2 miles - Ride 95 miles - Run and climb to Mount Washington summit Entry requires prior endurance credentials.
Individuals must have completed a full 140.6 triathlon or a 70.3 with results placing them in the top 75 percent of their age group, and recorded finish times better than 14:15 for 140.6 or 6:15 for 70.3. Qualifying events must have been completed after Jan. 1, 2021.
