Event Overview
The Sea Splash Color Dash 5K is a running event on March 21, 2026, co-hosted by the City of Port Hueneme and the Port of Hueneme. It takes place at Hueneme Beach Park in Port Hueneme, California.
Distances and Participants
The event features two main races:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Kids 1K for participants aged 12 and under
Registration for both races closes on March 1, 2026, or when participant caps are reached (650 for the 5K, 150 for the Kids 1K).
Event Features
Both races incorporate a color run theme. The color element is a final "fishline tunnel" segment on the route. Participation in the color segment is optional, with an alternative path available.
All registered runners receive a bib, t-shirt, and medal. An awards ceremony recognizes the top three finishers in different age categories. The Kids 1K requires children to be accompanied by an adult to the venue, though the adult does not have to run. Adults wishing to run alongside a child must sign a waiver on-site.
Venue and Amenities
The event is described as rain or shine. On-site amenities include bathroom trailers with an ADA-accessible restroom. A free Health and Wellness Fair with educational booths, a children's activity area, food vendors, and live entertainment will be held in Parking Lot "C" after the races. Food trucks will be present, offering food and drinks for purchase. The event is non-alcoholic.
