Coastal Kickoff Ventura - January 9, 2027
The Coastal Kickoff offers multiple running distances along the oceanfront beach path at Surfers Point at Seaside Park in Ventura. The course uses marked out-and-back loops on the beach path and runs along the coast.
Distances offered:
- 5k out-and-back on the beach path
- 10k two 5k loops
- 15k three 5k loops
- Half Marathon three 4.36 mile loops with a marked northern turnaround
An aid station is located at the turnaround near the start and finish and provides water cups, water bottles, Gatorade cups, and GU gels. The course will be marked with cones, chalk, and signs.
Registration includes custom finisher medals, drawstring goodie bags, free videos, live results at finish, free photos by bib, cinematic race highlight reels, trophies and achievement badges, Ascend Index ranking and Ascend Crew features, and a free A Better World Running app. An assortment of snacks and samples is provided. Age group awards must be picked up at the race and will not be mailed.
Transfers are permitted only by contacting the event organizer; there is a no-refund policy. The half marathon has a three hour thirty minute time limit. Race day registration is available with payment by credit card, cash, Apple Pay, Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal; race day prices are 5k $35, 10k $40, 15k $45, and Half Marathon $50.
