Santa to the Sea Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon, 5K and Kids Events
Santa to the Sea is a nonprofit running weekend in Oxnard, California that combines road races with a community toy drive and a scholarship program. The event includes multiple race distances and family activities around Channel Islands Harbor and historic downtown Oxnard.
The event features courses described as flat and fast and routed through local landmarks including strawberry fields, downtown Oxnard, Plaza Park, Marine Emporium Landing, and Channel Islands Harbor. A finish line festival takes place at the harbor with a kids play area, Santa’s Village, costume contests, food booths, and live entertainment.

- 6.55 miles Quarter Marathon
- 3.1 miles 5K
- 1 km Kids Fun Run
- Diaper Dash for crawling infants, held in short heats with a limited field
The nonprofit began as a toy drive in 2003 and continues to collect toys for underprivileged children in Ventura County. The Santa to the Sea Scholarship Fund partners with Gene Haas and the Oxnard College Foundation to award $500 scholarships to local high school students and adults continuing their education at Oxnard College.
