Sea-Hawks XC Season Opener
The event is scheduled for September 14, 2024, in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, at the Pippy Park Frisbee Golf Field across Prince Philip Drive from the Confederation Building.
Course and distances: this is a cross country race on a 2 km grass loop. Distances offered:
- 2 km for athletes born 2011 to 2014
- 5 km for athletes born 2010 and older
Registration and payment: regular registration deadline is September 12, 2024 at 8:00pm Newfoundland Time. The registration fee is 20.00 CAD per registrant. Additional non-member fees apply: 5.00 CAD for senior non-members and 1.00 CAD per registrant for non-member U14. Payment is online; a small processing fee applies.
Logistics and other details: bib pickup is available at the MUN Fieldhouse seating area next to the indoor track and at the race venue. Parking is at the College of the North Atlantic Campus. Chip timing is provided by Athletics NorthEast. Medals are awarded to the top three in each age category. The course is the same one used for the NLAA Provincial XC championships.
