The Screaming Monkey 100
The Screaming Monkey 100 is the 8th annual RAD Racing trail event at Eddie D. Jones Park in Keithville, Louisiana on November 7, 2026. The park sits near a National Chimpanzee Sanctuary and runners may hear the sanctuary primates along sections of the course.
The main course is a 15.5 mile loop used for longer distances. The loop is roughly 75% single-track, 12% wide equestrian trails, under 11% small gravel, and about 2% road. The surface is moderately packed with roots, rocks, and occasional water. Each loop has about 1,100 feet of elevation gain and loss and includes technical single-track, pine-straw-covered red-clay hills, and a ravine section. Participants registering for 25K and longer will run the 15.5 mile technical loop.

Aid stations are located at the start/finish and on-course; two on-course stations provide drop bag access at approximately mile 9 and mile 14. Cutoff policies apply by distance: 50K and shorter have a 12 hour cutoff; 100K and 100 miler have longer overall cutoffs with lap time requirements. Pacers may be allowed with event permission, registration, and a signed waiver. Drop bags are permitted.
Camping is available free at the park for race weekend with fire pits requested; nearby hotels can be found using zip code 71106. A Chimp Haven tour is planned, limited to 25 participants and lasting about 2–3 hours; part of the tour fee is refundable if canceled due to weather. SWAG includes medals for each distance and a custom buckle for 50K and farther. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
