Schreiber’s Annual Rubber Duckie Race and Festival
Schreiber’s annual Rubber Duckie Race and Festival is a family-focused community event held at The Schreiber Center in Lancaster. The event combines a rubber duckie adoption race with a short children’s running event and a festival of games, prizes, food, and other activities.
Duckie adoptions and Duckling Dash registrations support the center’s pediatric therapy services by helping to fill the gap between insurance reimbursement and the actual cost of care. The organization states no child is turned away because of the family’s ability to pay.
The children’s race, called the Duckling Dash, is a 100 meter event for children ages 12 and under. It welcomes participants to run, walk, or use a mobility device and includes a medal for finishers.
The event also features duckie seller opportunities for workplaces and community groups, prize drawings tied to duckie adoptions, and a range of festival activities.
