Scary Scurry Kids Fun Run & 5K
This event at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin includes a 5K run walk and a half mile kids fun run for participants age 12 and under. The event benefits the Fond du Lac County United Way and is presented with support from FVSBank, Mercury Marine, and Hopper's as part of the Fond du Lac Festival Falltoberfest.
The course is fully paved and strollers are encouraged. Pets are not allowed. Snacks and beverages will be available immediately after the races. All kids in the fun run receive a finisher medal. Awards are given to the top male and top female overall in the 5K and to the top male and top female in each age group 0 to 14, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over.
Registration is available online and in person. Online registration closes on October 8. In person registration is handled during bib pickup the evening before and the morning of the event. A registration cutoff applies for event t shirts; participants must register before September 25 to receive a shirt.
Bib pickup locations include FVSBank at 51 E 1st Street and Oven Island in Lakeside Park at 555 N Park Avenue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
