About the race

NK50k is an organized, point-to-point trail event in Greenbush, WI, hosted by the Greenbush Trail Runners. The event follows sections of the Northern Kettle Moraine Ice Age Trail and offers two distance options.

The course includes a mix of smooth, rolling ski trails and the rocky, rooty terrain of the Ice Age Trail, and passes near the highest point in the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest. The finish area is at the Greenbush Group Camp shelter, where food and refreshments are provided after the run. Transportation is provided from the finish to the start for runners.

Aid is available at the finish shelter and at specific points on the course, including Mile 3.5 and Mile 25; additional water access is located near several backcountry shelters. The organizers describe the event as a run rather than a competitive race, and no official results will be posted on UltraSignup.
