New Year's Eve Chilly Chili Run/Walk
The Fond du Lac Running Club organizes the New Year’s Eve Chilly Chili Run/Walk on December 31, 2026. The event offers a 5k run/walk and a free 1/2 mile kids run for participants age 12 and under. Registration and the post-race party take place in the Hornung Student Center on the Marian University campus. Parking is available in the Stayer Center lot (enter from 2nd Street or Morningside Drive) or the Regina lot (enter from Division Street).

The course is flat, measured, and entirely on roads, with the start and finish near the Hornung Student Center. Organizers note the course could be snow or ice covered. Awards include overall trophies for the top male and female in both the 5k run and the 5k walk. Chili bowls will be awarded to the top male and female in the 5k run for these age groups: 14 and under; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over. Overall winners are excluded from the age groups. All kids in the 1/2 mile run receive a participant award.
Registration is online only. Participants who want a sweatshirt must register by December 15; sweatshirts are adult sizes only and are not available after that date. Pre-registration fees vary with sweatshirt option; fees change after December 15. The entry fee includes chili, food, beverages, and awards. FDLRC members in good standing may take a $2 discount.
