Event overview
The New Year’s Eve Chilly Chili Run/Walk takes place on December 31, 2025 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The event includes the following distances:
- 5k Run
- 5k Walk
- 1/2 mile Kids Run (free for children 12 and under)
Registration and the post-race party are held at the Hornung Student Center on the Marian University campus, located at 45 S National Ave, Fond du Lac, WI 54935. Parking is available in the Stayer Center lot (enter from 2nd Street or Morningside Drive) or the Regina lot (enter from Division Street).
Course, awards and registration
The 5k course is flat, measured for accuracy, and runs entirely on roads. Organizers note the course could be snow or ice covered. Course start and finish are near the Hornung Student Center. Maps are provided for the 5k and the 1/2 mile kids run.
Awards include overall male and female winners for both the 5k run and the 5k walk. Age-group awards (chili bowls) are given to the top male and female in multiple age brackets for the 5k run; overall winners are excluded from those age groups. All children in the 1/2 mile receive a participant award.
Registration is online only. Participants who want a sweatshirt must register by December 15; sweatshirts are adult sizes only and will not be available after that date. The club is not responsible for unclaimed sweatshirts after race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
