About the race
The Scarecrow Scramble in Lisle is a community running and family event that raises funds for the Lisle Partners for Parks Foundation Scholarship Fund and the Lisle Teens with Character Program. The event offers multiple youth-focused races and a 5K run/walk.

- Youth Run - children's race
- Tot Dash - held in the outfield of baseball field #1
General guidelines note that costumes are encouraged, pets are not allowed on course, and strollers are permitted only for walkers in the 5K and will be placed at the end of the line. Parents are responsible for supervising children. Race officials may cancel for safety due to severe weather.
Registration is online only; fees are final and nonrefundable and every participant must sign a waiver. Register by 2026-09-13 to be guaranteed a race shirt. Race day registration and bib and shirt pick up are offered in person and online; pre-race pickup is available at the Lisle Recreation Center.
Participants receive one food ticket and one beverage ticket; additional food may be purchased for a fee. Alcohol is provided only to participants age 21 and over. The 5K includes trophies for top overall and masters 40 plus and medals for 1st through 3rd in standard age groups. Results are provided via opt-in text and are posted on ItsRaceTime.com.
