SBFD Company Monster Dash 5K Run/Walk
The Stony Brook Fire Department presents a Halloween Monster Dash event on October 31, 2026, at Race Site, 1410 Stony Brook Rd., Stony Brook, NY 11790. The event takes place rain or shine and encourages costumes.
Distances:
- 5K race
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk (untimed)
Registration includes options for race entry, donations, and sponsorship. Register by October 1 to guarantee a t-shirt. Personalized bibs are available for registrants who sign up three weeks before race day. Registration fees are non refundable and non transferable. Teams may be formed but team participation is optional.
On event day there will be amenities such as bagels, vendors, and refreshments including water and sports drinks. Results are provided live via online, text, or email and finish line photos are provided free on the same day. Bib pickup is managed by event staff with a self lookup option for those who do not know their bib number.
Awards are presented to the top male and female overall, to top male and female in listed age groups, and for best costume. Proceeds benefit the Stony Brook Fire Department. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
