Saxon Shore Half Marathon incorporating Saxon Shore 10k
This is a coastal running event based at Whitstable Castle, Tower Hill, Whitstable. The programme includes a half marathon and a 10k, both using a route by the Whitstable and Herne Bay coast with sea views. The half marathon is run as laps of the course.
The event village at the castle provides space for family and friends and is near public viewing points along the route. The organiser provides toilets and refreshments at the venue. For 2026 the event includes an After Party at Whitstable Castle with food, drink and live music; access to the party is included with entry.
Entry fees (advanced entries / on-the-day where space allows):
- Half Marathon: £30 affiliated club members, £32 unaffiliated; on-the-day £40.
- 10k: £24 affiliated club members, £26 unaffiliated; on-the-day £30.
Under UK Athletics rules the minimum age is 17 years for the half marathon and 15 years for the 10k on the day of the event.
