Saxon Shore Half Marathon incorporating Saxon Shore 10k
The Saxon Shore event is a coastal running event based at Whitstable Castle, Tower Hill, Whitstable. For 2026 the race returns in its eighth year and the organiser has reintroduced the Saxon Shore 10k alongside the half marathon. The event village is located at the castle grounds and sits near several viewing points along the course. An after party at Whitstable Castle is included with entry and features food, drink, a BBQ and music on the castle grounds.
Facilities at the venue include toilets and refreshments. The organiser lists advanced entry fees and on‑the‑day prices as follows: Half Marathon advanced entries: £30 for affiliated club members, £32 unaffiliated; on‑the‑day (subject to space) £40. 10k advanced entries: £24 for affiliated club members, £26 unaffiliated; on‑the‑day (subject to space) £30.
Under UK Athletics rules the minimum age is 17 years on the day for the half marathon and 15 years on the day for the 10k. The organiser states the event has been popular and has sold out in previous years. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
