Savin Rock Marathon & Half Marathon
The Savin Rock Marathon and Half Marathon takes place in West Haven, Connecticut on April 3, 2027. The venue is the exterior area of Jimmie's of Savin Rock on the beach side at 5 Rock St. Parking is available at Jimmie's or other nearby beach lots under the event permit.

The course includes an initial 4 miles of flat terrain, followed by five hills over the next 5 miles, and a downhill and flat finish segment of about 4 miles; the marathon is the two-loop version of the half marathon. About one third of the route runs along Long Island Sound. The marathon course is USATF certified CT25002JHG and is a Boston qualifier; the half marathon is USATF certified CT25001JHG. The course had a small change for 2026.
Aid stations are placed about every 2 miles beginning at mile 2.5 and are stocked with Poland Spring Water and Gatorade Endurance. Portable toilets are located at miles 4.5, 6.55, 13.1, 17.6, and 21.5. Transponder timing is used with splits at 6.55, 13.1, 19.65, and 26.2.
Entrants receive men's or women's cut short sleeve tech shirts and all finishers receive custom finisher medals with a choice of two designs. Finish line refreshments include Poland Spring Water, Gatorade Endurance, bagels, and bananas. Custom awards are provided to the top three men and women overall and in five-year age divisions from 15 to 80 plus; awards must be picked up at the awards table and are not shipped. Free downloadable race photos and finisher certificates are provided by Elite Feats.
The event is designated as the Road Runners Club of America Championship Race for 2027. A Drop Down Guarantee allows marathon entrants to take an official half marathon finish if they stop before the second loop or notify timing staff; such finishers are not eligible for awards.
