Save the Manatee 5K
The 23rd Annual Save the Manatee 5K is scheduled for November 15, 2026 at Blue Spring State Park, 2100 W. French Ave, Orange City, FL. November 15 is the official kick-off day of Manatee Season in Florida.
The in-person 5K starts and finishes at Blue Spring State Park and follows the Spring-to-Spring Trail adjacent to the park. The course is described as scenic and flat. Park admission is included with race registration. The event is family and dog friendly, and proceeds support Save the Manatee Club.
Multiple participation options are offered, including in-person and several virtual 5K entries. Virtual participants may choose their activity and distance and may run, walk, bike, swim, kayak, scuba, or hike at a chosen time and place. Virtual registration includes a Manatee unisex cotton/polyester blend T-shirt, a Manatee finisher medal, and a race bib for those options that include merchandise.
Packet pick-up is available early at Front Running Sports in Lake Mary during the week prior to the event and on race day at Blue Spring State Park. Custom finisher medals will be provided. Kids 12 and under may receive a free stuffed manatee at the in-person event. Top three overall male and female finishers will receive awards, and medal tags will be awarded to the top three male and female in each age group.
