Savannah Mile
The Savannah Mile is scheduled for May 16, 2026 in Savannah, Georgia, as part of National Law Enforcement Week. The one mile course begins at the south end of Forsyth Park, proceeds down Drayton Street, and finishes on Broughton Street. The day concludes with an awards celebration in Johnson Square with complimentary food and beverages.
The event is organized into six heats that address a range of paces and participant groups. Heat A Run Fast is intended for runners planning a mile under 8 minutes. Heat B Run for Fun is aimed at runners planning a mile in about 8 to 12 minutes. Heat C Run and Walk suits participants doing run walk intervals at a relaxed pace of 12 minutes or more per mile. Heat D Family Fun Run welcomes families, strollers, and pets. The Memory Walk is untimed and open to all; families of fallen first responders may receive up to four complimentary T-shirts. The Heroes Heat is reserved for first responders and military and requires full gear of at least 30 pounds to compete for the Full Gear All Out Flag.
Each paid registration includes one complimentary T-shirt and participation in the awards celebration. Only participants competing for time receive a bib; the Memory Walk is un-timed and will not receive a bib. Registration opens December 9, 2025 and the listed registration fee is $30. Packet pickup is at Fleet Feet Savannah on Waters Avenue the Thursday and Friday before the race with a $5 late fee for day of pickup. One hundred percent of proceeds support the 200 Club to assist families of first responders. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
