The Summer Lucky Dip Run 2026
This is a 7 hour Time Challenge held at The Last Hop, Thames Edge Court in Staines along a stretch of the River Thames. Participants choose how many laps to complete; the minimum recorded distance to be a finisher is 3 km. A full lap is listed as 7 km (4.37 miles) but the loop may change depending on course conditions. The lap includes 3 km and 5 km turn points to help meet age-related distance rules. Typical lap counts noted are 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon, 7 or more for an ultra, and a 50 km option is available.
The course is fully signed and mostly on formed paths and tarmac with a short grass section; road shoes are suitable all year. Finishers completing at least 3 km receive a themed medal chosen from past events; distance pins are provided for half marathon, mega half, marathon, 50 km and ultra distances and are attached to the medal ribbon.
Finishers receive a goody bag with a vegan option. An aid and drinks table is provided at the start/finish area for each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Venue facilities include toilets and changing rooms at the event HQ. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park, Staines TW18 4TP. Number pick up is on the day at race registration.
